Copyright Policy

1. User Ownership of Content

Manuscripts: The user retains all intellectual property rights and ownership of the manuscripts they upload to the Civlee platform.

Audio Dramas (Output): The user retains all intellectual property rights and ownership of the final audio dramas generated by the Service.

Civlee's Stance: Civlee makes no claim of ownership over any user-uploaded manuscript or any resulting audio drama output.

2. User Responsibility and Warranties

By uploading a manuscript, you warrant and represent that:

  • You are the original creator and copyright holder of the manuscript, or you have secured all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions required to use, process, and generate audio dramas from the manuscript on the Civlee platform.
  • The uploaded manuscript and the resulting audio drama do not, and will not, infringe upon the copyrights, intellectual property rights, or any other rights of any third party.
  • You are solely responsible for all User Content and for ensuring its compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. Civlee's Copyright Protection Systems

Civlee employs several mechanisms to prevent and address potential copyright infringement:

LLM Flagging

We use LLM-based artificial intelligence systems designed to detect and flag content matching major copyrighted titles or works.

Content ID System

We maintain an internal database of known copyrighted manuscripts, titles, and characters. Our system matches uploaded content against this database to prevent the generation of unauthorized material.

4. Takedown System (Reporting Infringement)

If you believe that a user of the Civlee Service has generated copyrighted material belonging to you, you must notify us immediately by following the procedure below (the "Takedown System").

A. Required Notification Details

To submit a valid notice of infringement, please provide all of the following information to the designated contact email address:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., the title, author, and date of registration).
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit Civlee to locate the material (e.g., the URL or unique identifier on the Service).
  4. Information reasonably sufficient to permit Civlee to contact the complaining party (e.g., an address, telephone number, and email address).
  5. A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

B. Designated Contact for Copyright Grievances

All copyright infringement notifications must be sent to:

founder@civlee.com

C. Action Upon Receipt of Valid Notice

Upon receipt of a valid and complete notification:

  • Civlee will investigate the claim.
  • If the claim is verified, the infringing audio files will be made unavailable and inaccessible to the user who generated the content.
  • The account of the infringing user may be suspended or terminated as a violation of the Terms and Conditions of Service.

5. Termination for Repeat Infringement

Civlee reserves the right to suspend or terminate the account of any user who is determined to be a repeat infringer of the copyrights or intellectual property rights of others.
